The Weinstein Company acquire rights for 'Nowhere Boy'

Movie giant The Weinstein Company has acquired the rights for the US, Latin America and Germany of the John Lennon ‘teen years’ movie that is currently shooting in Liverpool, reports Variety.‘Nowhere Boy’, written by ’Control’’s Matt Greenhalgh and directed by British artist Sam Taylor-Wood, stars Kristin Scott-Thomas, Thomas Sangster and Anne-Marie Duff and is Taylor-Wood’s first attempt at directing a feature.The artist debuted her short film ‘Love You More’ at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival.'Nowhere Boy' centres on the early life of Lennon, prior to forming The Beatles.
